So I am lucky to have boys that like to go to the theater...not the movies, but actual live theater. So while they are still admitting to that love and willingly go with me I will take them.
Playing in Vegas is the "Lion King" and we scored great tickets because we are local and so off we went to the matinee showing one Saturday Afternoon.
The boys had not watched the movie lately so it was familiar but not too familiar to them. We loved the mechanics of the show, the moving stage, the costumes, the experience of it all.
I hope they continue to love the theater and plan many more outings with them!!

{50s Day}
Each year our school has a sock hop and the scholars (and teachers) dress up for school. This is a great treat since we wear uniforms all year long. This is taken right before we walked into school that morning...sorry about the car in the background!
So thanks to a great sister in law who can also sew anything I have a poodle skirt and the boys love sporting their white shirts and jeans. It is a fun day and event!

{Presenting the Cars}
So this month brought the Pinewood derby and the boys (including the big one) loves this.
A bit bittersweet because it was K's last one as he turns 11 next month and will be out of cubs.

{St Patty's Day}
Apparently the Leprechauns came to our house that night, but the boys didn't build traps this year so you think we would be in the clear.
But we weren't. There was masking tape everywhere...we think they love to use things they find "laying around the house."
Green clothes were hung around the house.
Watch out...it seems leprechauns don't forget!

Shoes and pants taped to walls.
The bathroom was tp-ed.
and they left a little note: "no traps?! how about some tricks?!?!"

{2nd Place}
K is our family scientist and he seems to do well each year in the school's science fair.
This year he took 2nd place in 5th Grade with his solar cooker and making smores in it.

{when Uncle comes to town}
(at In N Out with Uncle)
No problem.
We go.
He comes to town again.
We go to In N Out again.
Now the boys think it is his favorite place.
So for the last few years every time he comes to town we have to go there. It is their little thing with their Uncle....but I don't think they realize it isn't Uncle's favorite place to go!
At least their Uncle just plays along...that's how much he loves them!
{it's Science project time}
March is the month of science projects for the past few years. I am starting to dread each March and look forward to this being over......one day.
At least we always have them due the second week of the month usually so it doesn't drag out for too long.
But I can say that both boys are done with their projects so this weekend won't be us trying to cram it all down their throats at one time.
E even took his to school a day early and before I could get a picture of the final product. (his is about the African Red Knob Sea Star....he saw it in a book and that was his choice)
K made a solar oven and cooked s'mores. It was fun and tasty!

{Visitors}
This weekend we had our auntie and uncle with us and G&G Apo were in town with all our extended Apo family and as a bonus we had A's (our cousin) birthday party too.
So we all had an early lunch at her favorite Chuck E Cheese and played some games.
It's always more fun with more people around who love you!!
