{January Pack Meeting}

It has been impossible to get to Pack Meeting for the boys in about 3 months. Between school and work and life we couldn't get out of some important activities to make it to Pack Meeting (Plymouth Play, Christmas Play for example that the boys had parts in at school).

So K had a huge pile of awards awaiting him at the last pack meeting. He was happy to receive each on of them!

In case you were curious....I made the most beautiful cake E-V-E-R!!

All from scratch with a raspberry filling covered in chocolate ganache.

And it was yummy.

And I will request my family make this for me on my next birthday. Event thought it took me at least 2 hours not including baking time since I followed the directions and had to get all the raspberries seeds  out of the filling...but it was so worth it!

{desert snow}

So the boys have been dreaming of, talking of, and wishing for snow since November.

They have two memories of it snowing here in the past 10 years we have lived here and each winter they wish for it again.

Their wishes were granted unexpectedly when we woke up Monday morning to a yard of snow and falling snow.

It was only a mere inch maybe but it was magical and just enough to make a few snowballs and two tiny snowmen and soak them right through.

It was fun for the few hours it lasted.
